My husband ate lunch with a friend several weeks ago. During their conversation this friend vented some frustrations about a mutual acquaintance. He later, feeling very remorseful for his rant, sent an apology to Jason with this quote attached:
“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.” –Eleanor Roosevelt
So, I ask, “What are you talking about today?” Is what you are saying helpful, is it necessary, does it build up or tear down, does it create forward movement? Make your words matter.
